Chinese Pepper Steak combines many flavors to create this delicious dish. It’s really quite simple and easy to put together and the end result will have people coming back for more.

Chinese Pepper Steak Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Ready In: 40 min

Servings: 4

1 lb Boneless Beef Top Sirloin, cut into thin strips
2 cup Fat-free Beef Broth
2 medium Green Peppers, sliced
1½ cup Celery, diagonally sliced
1 cup sliced Onion
1 tsp chopped Garlic
½ tsp Salt (optional)
½ tsp fresh Ground Black Pepper
½ tsp Sugar or the equivalent in Artificial Sweetener
¼ cup Cornstarch
2 tsp lite Soy Sauce
½ cup Water

Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Add beef strips until browned. Add all but the last three ingredients and simmer, covered, for 4 to 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix cornstarch with soy sauce and water. Stir into hot mixture and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Serve over noodles or quick-cooking brown rice.

Tips & Notes
One serving is a good source of fiber. If you like crisp vegetables, simmer for the lesser time.
